Who are Chuck and Ashley?

Chuck and Ashley Elliott speaking at a marriage conference

Chuck and I (Ashley) have been working with individuals, couples, and families in various contexts for the past 18 years. Early in our careers, Chuck worked with families and kids, and I taught Psychology courses at the undergraduate level. After being married about one year, we were offered the training to become marriage educators for a federally funded non-profit called “Community Marriage Builders.” For almost a decade, we taught various marriage workshops and conferences. When the organization closed its doors in 2016, we knew we wanted to build something that would help couples. However, we were also going through a very challenging season in our family. We lost babies during pregnancy in 2015, 2016, and 2017. When we welcomed our youngest son in 2018, we took the first year of his life to enjoy and celebrate him.

By this point, Chuck has been pastoring at a church for several years, and I was working full-time at a local Christian university. Then, in 2019, we determined we were going to start something. When we began our tiny ministry/business, we didn’t know all the cool places the Lord would lead us, but we knew we wanted to help people develop stronger relationships with God and others. We had faced loss, and we had worked with lots of people who had gone through trauma, loss, and other difficult situations that greatly impacted their family lives.  We maintained our full-time jobs, accepted speaking opportunities from time-to-time, and started a Facebook page where we could provide encouraging relationship content.

In late 2019, we explored the idea of publishing a book, secured an agent, and recorded a video series called Love and Loss. Thankfully, Right Now Media was interested in our program, and we were able to help individuals and church small groups process and heal from grief. We continued to build content, began offering relationship coaching, and started writing a book. In 2021, we signed a contract with Baker Publishing Group, and we continued on the journey. In 2022, Ashley resigned from the university and began running the ministry/business. Our book released in 2023, and we’ve welcomed opportunities to be guests on many podcasts, partner with churches and other organizations to offer retreats, workshops, and other events. We’ve written articles, coached couples and individuals, and have developed several other video series and many worksheets and resources. In July 2024, Chuck and I switched roles. He resigned from being a pastor, and I took a full-time ministry position at a church down the street from our home. We were able to start a marriage ministry there in addition to some other cool things.

Chuck did a great job growing the ministry/business, and in June of 2026, I shifted from the position at the church, and we are both working full-time coaching (learn more here) and developing content to help people thrive in their relationships with God and others! We are thankful for the journey and continue seeking the Lord regarding our adventurous future.

Family investing in quality time as they build relationships and hike

We have three young boys (ages 16, 14, and 8) who have unique gifts that we are also working to shepherd and nurture. We’re excited to see the men they become!
